This double bedded room impresses because of the four poster which dominates. Facing towards the front of the hotel it can’t rely on the views that the other rooms enjoy, so it has to rely on something else to impress and it does that with a stunning bed. Here’s a four poster that really works. With rich and deep holly green drapes that fully encase the bed it’s almost like a secret room within a room.
The unusual four-piece set of matching bed-room furniture was made and hand-painted on the Isle-of-Wight by a friend of my grandmother and gifted to her in Weymouth – not gift-wrapped I imagine!
It would be silly to apologise for the room only having a regular view, but we have reflected that in the reduced price – after all – if all the rooms looked out across the bay, this house, huge and solid granite-built that it is, would’ve over balanced and fallen into the sea by now! Just as with the other rooms, this one has an en suite with a shower and WC with a wash basin in the room; along with hospitality facilities and TV.
