To appreciate how grand this twin-bedded room once was, it has to be imagined as at least a third larger. When the en suites were installed we had to build a new internal wall, steal a chunk of the room and divide it between this room and Pydar next door….a pity, but a necessity if Chymorvah was to survive as a hotel. So, imagine this as a larger room with a dressing room attached. The views across our wonderful bay remain unaltered, but at least we have the modern comforts of shower, hand basin and w.c. en suite – something the Colonel and his lady could never have dreamt of. A maid would have brought the hot drinks our hospitality tray now provides, but what would’ve restored them from their shock if we’d dropped the flat screen colour t.v. into their bedroom amongst their heavy Victorian furnishings?!!
