The beach is literally 'at the bottom of the garden' and we have our own private access.

Our town of Marazion is well worth exploring and a 'must' is the walk across the causeway at low tide to St Michael's Mount; or take a pleasant motor boat trip if the tide is in.

The wide sandy beaches of Marazion and the adjoining Long Rock and Eastern Green beaches are on the one hand and in the other direction are a multitude of smaller beaches, some are sandy while others are rocky coves.
Penzance is an old town with many interesting shops including a growing number of antique shops in the Chapel Street area. It has a museum and an art-gallery where a particular feature is the famous Newlyn School of artists. There is the interest of the port and busy harbour and, unusual for Cornwall, the Victorian-style Promenade.

Adjoining Penzance is colourful Newlyn, Britains busiest fishing port, with constant activity on the quays, which are open to the public.

Just a little further along the coast is Mousehole with its pint-sized harbour and picturesque streets.

Space prevents us enlarging on the many pleasures of the coastal footpath, tiny coves with sandy beaches, craggy coves with rock pools and the sheer delight of this part of Cornwall.
